About Colorado Mad Stix Baseball
Coach Sean Smiley
Growing up I was a three sport athlete thru high school and took a scholarship to Lamar Community College. Then transferred to Seward County Community College. Both teams were ranked amongst the best in the nation at the time. Being Colorado born and raised, I have the desire to give back to the sport by sharing the knowledge I’ve learned over the years and what I still grow to learn myself. I want to help kids grow as ball players and young men! Coaching has changed my life for the better and helped me love the great game again as I once did as a player! Thanks to all the coaches that I played for and giving me the knowledge to pass on.

I played baseball growing up from the age of 4 until my body wouldn’t let me at 22 years old. That included time at Fountain-Fort Carson High School, UCCS and in the Mile High Collegiate Baseball League. Along those adventures, I gained experience and coaching from numerous D1, MLB and other professional baseball coaches and players. In my career post-college, I’ve been a coach at FFC and spent time with the Rocky Mountain Vibes in the press box. My goal as a baseball coach is to pass on the tools I’ve gathered along the way in my tool box and share them to help them grow as players and young men, from life lessons and relationship building to becoming the best baseball players they can be.
